This photo I believe features Rupert's wife in the center. Not sure though and unfortunately, I don't know her name. The woman in the background on the left might be my grandfather's mother. This is just a guess though. My grandfather had two sisters perhaps this could be one of them.

The photos I posted the other day appear to be the house where my grandfather Harold Murrell Sr. grew up and his brother Rupert's family. From what my father told me, Rupert's kids names were Ruth, Norma, Jean, Lillian, Winston and Tommy.  I met Ruth, Lillian and Winston back in 1998 on a trip to Barbados

    The first picture reminds me of a photo of two of my grandkids father's family in Jamaica, all standing in a row like that.

    Nice photos. Too bad they aren't labeled but good you know who they probably are.

    The first few photos look like the people were cut out and pasted on the picture of the house.

I wanted to say hello to everyone. I know it's been a long time since my last post. The world is in a much different space from when I last wrote on March 2nd. So am I. I hope and pray that all of you out there are safe and taking care of yourselves and your loved ones. My 23andMe Results!

I took full advantage and ordered a test for my husband as well as one for myself. Well, my results came back late last week and I found them reaffirming and interesting all at the same time.  Image courtesy of 23andme Maternal Haplogroup Result: L3e3b In a prior post, My MtDNA Result Are Back! , I revealed the results of my first MtDNA test. I tested with FamilyTreeDNA last year and they determined that my Haplogroup was L3e3b. It was reassuring to see that 23andMe came up with the same result this time around. Okay....Here We Go! LOL.

Okay, I finally did it. I have been on an incredibly journey over almost two years searching for my ancestors and I kept telling myself, I needed to document this. You need to write this information down and document the process, not only what I learned about the people who came before me, but how I felt as I made these discoveries. How this whole process has affected my life has been absolutely incredible. Until I started searching, I was under the impression that I would never know anything about my lineage beyond my grandparents.
