More Pictures From My Son's Birthday Week

Image
Sorry, it's been a couple of weeks since my last post. January was a complete blur of a month and the first couple weeks of February have pretty much been the same way. I am at last posting some additional shots from my son's 12th birthday parties. We had a celebration with family one weekend and then he had a blast roller skating with his friends at a place called Skate Estate the following weekend. My baby boy is 12! How can this be?! I love seeing these two crack each other up.  I can't remember what she said... but it sure must have been funny :) I can explain this one. They were playing the game What ya mouth. If you aren't familiar with the game, you put a mouth guard in your mouth and then you have to say a phrase and then the other players playing the game have to guess what you just said. It's pretty hysterical. Anyway, the two of them  thought it would be a good idea to strike a pose with their mouth guards in . ...

A Great Day At Skate Estate!

Image
Here's my favorite photo from yesterday at Skate Estate. You can just tell from her face how much fun she had. My lady bug had a blast hanging out with her friends and celebrating turning 9 years old.  Here's a little movie I put together using pictures from her party.

Just Like That...She Turns 9!

What can I tell you. I gave birth to a real character 9 years ago. Who is this crazy lady?! Oh now I recognize her. There's my big girl. And yes that's her dressed in a panda jumpsuit,  gold necklaces and shades. I can't wait to see what she wears next year :)

It's Been A Bit Busy Here, So Please Forgive My Absence

Image
There's been a lot going on around here lately so please forgive my absence. I feel like finally today I can catch my breath and share a couple of pictures of what's been going on.  My oldest turned 11. He had two wonderful parties the weekend before last, one at Chuck E. Cheese with his friends and another party back home with his family. I have so enjoyed watching this little man grow up. He's getting so big that I anticipate by next summer he will be looking me right in the eye.  Here are a few pictures from all the festivities. The other thing that's kept me busy is my daughter had another gymnastics competition this past weekend. This was a big one. It was the I Love NY Cup  which was hosted by her gymnastics academy. So of course leading up to her competition, I was cab driver mom shuttling her back and forth to practices. All of the parents of gymnasts volunteered over the course of the weekend t...

Friday Funny: Noah's Beginnings

Image
Let me start this post off by saying, no I am not pregnant. This old ultra sound picture is of my oldest who will be turning 11 on Monday. Gosh it went fast!  My mother has this saying that they're born and then you blink your eyes and they are starting school, then you blink your eyes again and they are graduating high school. I get it now, mom. You are so right! My son is the lovely jackpot my husband and I brought back from Las Vegas at the beginning of April 2004. Of course we didn't know it until a month after our return that we were pregnant. I was 31 and had always been on time getting my period. I didn't really feel different but I knew I had to find out what was up. This was right around the time when they came out with those digital pregnancy tests, where it says the words, "pregnant" or "not pregnant." I bought one and took it. I remember waiting for the result, saying to myself, "Nah, it can't be. Probably just stress from work...

Celebrating At Chuck E. Cheese's

Image
Just last Sunday we were celebrating my daughter's birthday with her friends at the place where a kid can be a kid. That's right, we did the Chuck E. Cheese's thing. It was great fun. Here are a few pictures from that day.  One highlight from that day didn't take place at Chuck E. Cheese's. On the morning of her party, my daughter created this message for me for my birthday. I love how creative she is. She used some pipe cleaners, a head band, and a couple of elastic hair ties and she set this out on her bed.
