Pink Invitational 2020

Image
Here's pictures of our beautiful girl back from injury. In the fall, she broke a bone in her left foot which took a long time to heal. These are pictures from her second competition of the season, Pink Invitational 2020. She's getting stronger every week. I loved watching her compete and hanging out with her teammates. They are so supportive of one another. No medals this time for her but she gained a bunch of her confidence back.  She competed late on Saturday February 22, 2020 so that involved an overnight stay in Philadelphia. I don't like driving long distances at night especially if I'm tired. The following day we spent time sightseeing and checking out a Blick art supply store that was near our hotel. OMG! If you love doing art, then you love Blick! We could have spent the whole day there, trying out different art supplies, but we had to make that drive back home.  Bob and his squirrel assistant are looking at me like, "Who the...

Janet Rothenberg 2019 --Another Solid Performance

Image
Thankfully, the Winter weather held off long enough for my daughter and I to make it to Mt. Pocono, PA this past weekend. No problems getting there on Saturday. Coming back, I was very thankful that I was among a caravan of folks traveling on I-81N behind a salt truck. Thank you Mr. Salt Truck for allowing us to make it home safely. How did ladybug do? She had a real solid performance and she even made a new personal best in vault of 9.450! Woohoo! Looking a little worried. Cheer up ladybug, you got this.  5th place on beam. Awesome job! Here's another sweet picture. This was for all around. Alyssa tied for 9th place with one of her teammates while another teammate came in 7th on her left. Her scores: Vault: 9.450   Bars:  8.800   Beam:  8.800 Floor:  9.000 All around:  36.050 Awesome job, sweetie :)

The Kids and Their Sports

Image
It's been awhile since I've shared about how the kids are doing in their individual sports. This whole running people around to their respective practices and games is serious business. People call me to make plans and the first thing I have to do is check my phone for my Google calendar to see where and when I have to be somewhere. My washing machine is constantly washing gymnastic leotards and soccer jerseys. I am not complaining. My husband and I are so proud of these amazing young people. Noah with his dad. Number 14 is our big guy. You can see how much he's grown. These pictures are from a tournament that Noah participated in November with his indoor soccer league. They took 2nd place! Nice job, guys! Miss Alyssa has been doing her thing in regards to gymnastics. She just competed in her third meet for the season this past Saturday. For this post, I'm going to share pictures and results from her first two competitions. Tomorrow, if ...
