Just my way of sharing with family, friends, and anyone who will listen, the things that I have learned about my ancestors with a little bit about myself and my own little family in the mix.
Wonderful photos. One thing leaps out at me: All the fathers look warm, loving, and happy to be fathers. Your dad as a kid has such a good, solid smile -- just as he does with his grandchildren!
I am feeling the itch to get back to some painting. It's been a couple of months. My husband and I have been in the thick of competition season for both kids with their sports: soccer and gymnastics. It's been wonderful seeing them compete but part of me is longing for some quiet time at home so I can recoup my energy. I think I'll try and squeeze in some painting time after the kids head out for school in the morning. In the meantime, here's a couple of things I painted in the fall.

The first was my maternal 2nd great grandmother Jonas Bryant. She was born March 15, 1867 in Carteret County, NC. You can read more about her life here.
