Announcing 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks: 2015 Edition.
Week 8 (Feb 19-25) – Good Deeds. Does this mean a generous ancestor or one you found through land records? You decide.

Now I have featured my 2nd great grand uncle, Alfred Mitchell before on this blog, but I thought this would be a good opportunity to feature another one of his deeds in keeping with this week's theme.

You can read more about Alfred Mitchell here in these posts:

  1. Is that Alfred Mitchell's barn? I have lots of old deeds but no pictures to go with them. It's definitely more satisfying when I can match the deed to a specific place.

    1. Hi Wendy, no that's not his barn. I wish. I was looking for a picture that could represent what I thought what his land might look like. Yes, I like matching a deed to a specific place too. I have a sense of where the land was located but not the specifics. Still trying to figure out where Culvery Branch is. If I can place it, I will provide an update.
